HANDS-ON SCIENCE AT INDIAN HILLS ELEMENTARY IN SALT LAKE CITY

Indian Hills Science & Engineering Fair follows the same rules as Salt Lake District Science Fair

Rules:
1. Only 1-3 students per project.

2. All students in grades 5th-6th must complete a digital permission slip before beginning the project. Click the button below to obtain a copy of the permission slip.

Grades 5th-6th Permission Slip

3. Your name, grade, & teacher must be written on the back of the right flap of the science fair board.

4. Journals are required for students in grades 5th-6th. Journals should not be turned in with science fair boards. Journals should be brought with you when you are taken to speak with a judge.

5. Photographs of yourself are allowed. Photographs of other students are not allowed without a written permission slip from their parents.

6. Additional items that you used for your project can not be displayed with your science fair board.

7. If humans are part of your experiment, then a nurse, psychologist, or doctor’s signature is required on the permission slip for grades 5th-6th.

8. If humans are under 18 years old, their parents must give written permission. Please turn these slips in with your permission slip for grades 5th-6th.

9.If nonhuman animal pets are part of your experiment, a veterinarian's signature is required on the permission slip for grades 5th-6th.

10. You can not grow mold or other microbes at home or at Indian Hills for all grades.
